Fertility & Hormonal Health

A combination of acupuncture, herbal medicine, and nutritional recommendations can be extremely effective at optimizing hormonal well being. Relief from PMS, cramps, PCOS, infertility, headaches, IBS, hot flashes and night sweats can be achieved naturally.

Acupuncture can help boost endorphin and serotonin levels, regulate the endocrine system and reduce stress and anxiety connected to hormonal imbalances .

Several clinical studies have shown the efficacy of acupuncture when combined with IVF procedures. Acupuncture, when administered 25 minutes before and 25 minutes after  Transfer can almost double pregnancy success rates. It was also found that acupuncture significantly reduced anxiety levels that occurred before Transfer.

For best results, it is advisable to begin acupuncture treatments 3 months before an IVF procedure. However, Theresa can help you at any stage of your IVF journey and happy to accompany you to your IVF Transfer Procedure.

Pre & Post-Natal Care

Facial and neck rejuvenation are non-invasive acupuncture treatments that will provide noticeable cosmetic results. Small needles are inserted into specific face and neck acupuncture points causing micro traumas to create new collagen and elastin.

Another benefit to facial and neck rejuvenation treatments is a boost to overall health. One can expect an improvement in sleep, stress, anxiety, digestive issues, energy, mild depression, hot flashes, night sweats and much more.  This is due to the holistic nature of Chinese medicine that treats the entire body.

Headaches & Stress Management

Headaches are one of the most common conditions people seek medical care for. Approximately 90% of adults will experience tension headaches and about 12% will experience migraines. Acupuncture has a long-standing reputation for successfully treating headaches and migraines.

Additionally, from a Western Medical perspective, acupuncture relieves stress through its endorphin-producing benefits. Endorphins are “feel-good” chemicals that flood the body in response to a biochemical chain of events triggered by the body’s perception of an inserted acupuncture needle. Increased endorphins are linked to increased levels of serotonin as well as a decrease in cortisol levels (one of the key stress hormones that causes illness).

Prenatal Acupuncture can help by easing nausea, fatigue, anxiety, depression, heartburn and aches & pains all connected to a growing

baby and mama to be.

Acupuncture can also be of great assistance in turning a breech baby and with labor induction.

Postpartum Acupuncture and herbal medicine can help with the recovery process after birth (including c-section recovery and scar prevention), support milk production,  & hormonal balance – all essential to a happier postpartum!

Acupuncture & Pain Management

Almost any pain condition is treatable with acupuncture. From acute injuries to chronic pain to internal pain conditions acupuncture can provide almost immediate relief.

Studies how shown that acupuncture causes a release of endorphins and natural "pain-killers." Once released into the bloodstream, these natural “pain-killers” reduce the sensation of pain and increase serotonin levels contributing to the emotional health of the patient dealing with the stress of chronic pain.
